Carlos Buitelaar se unió a MTP como Vicepresidente de M&A y Desarrollo Corporativo en junio 2019. Antes de unirse a MTP, Carlos fue vicepresidente en Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, el administrador de fondos de infraestructura más grande del mundo y uno de los socios accionistas de MTP. Estando en Macquarie, Carlos participo activamente en la creación de MTP y acompaño a la compañía en varias operaciones importantes a lo largo de los años. Adicionalmente a su rol de asset manager de MTP, Carlos trabajo en diversas inversiones en México y Estados unidos en los sectores de infraestructura de telecomunicaciones y energías renovables.

Previo a su trabajo en Macquarie, Carlos tuvo distintos roles en instituciones financieras en Miami y Filadelfia. Carlos posee un MBA de INSEAD y es Licenciado en Economía por parte de la escuela de negocios Wharton de la Universidad de Pennsylvania.

Javier Wiechers se unió a Mexico Telecom Partner como Vicepresidente de Ventas en octubre del 2020.

Javier cuenta con más 23 años de experiencia en ventas principalmente en el sector de telecomunicaciones, donde tuvo oportunidad de desarrollar importantes roles ejecutivos y equipos de alto desempeño en el área de Empresas para Telefónica y AT&T, desarrollando relevantes proyectos de infraestructuras fijas, móviles, data center, Cloud, Data Center e Internet de las cosas para el sector financiero, retail, automotriz, servicios y gobierno.

Javier cuenta con una Maestría en Administración de Negocios Digitales por la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), y es Licenciado en Administración de Empresas por la Universidad Intercontinental, Cuidad de México.

Javier Wiechers joined Mexico Telecom Partner in October 2020 as Sales Vice President.

Javier has a 23 years of sales experience, mainly in Telecommunications, where he had the opportunity to lead several executive managing positions & high performance teams at Enterprise Business for Telefonica and AT&T conducting prominent projects in wire & mobile line, Cloud, Data Center & Internet of Things for Finance, Retail, Automotive, Service Industry & Government.

Javier holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Business Management from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) & and a Bachelor`s Degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Intercontinental, Mexico City.

Carlos Buitelaar joined MTP as Vice President of M&A and Corporate Development in June 2019. Before joining MTP, Carlos was Vice president at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, the world’s largest infrastructure fund manager and one of MTP shareholder partners. While working in Macquarie, Carlos actively participated in the creation of MTP and accompanied the company through several important operations.

In addition to his role as MTP asset manager, Carlos worked in various investments operations in Mexico and the United States in the telecommunications infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Before his work at Macquarie, he held different roles in financial institutions in Miami and Philadelphia. Carlos has an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Economics from the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.

With 15 years of experience in the Mission Critical industry, Dax joins MTP as VP- Edge & Mission Critical Solutions in 2020. He started his career in Data Centers infrastructure with Group UPS of Panama (Emerson Network Power), then he performed in Kio Networks Panama as Infrastructure Regional Manager for Central America and the Caribbean, eventually he takes full responsibility of Data Centers Operations globally, once based in Mexico, he was part of the High Management Team in this organization for 6 years and was responsible for Kio´s Data Centers construction, expansions, and operations. He also lead the presales team for Kio Data Center Services in 5 countries (Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Dominican Republic, and Spain).

Regarding his education, Dax is a Computer Science Engineer with a Master degree in Business Administration, both completed in the Latina University of Panama, also completed the High Management Program at IPADE Business School. Dax has strengthened his education with multiple worldwide recognized technical certifications in the Data Centers field.

Con 15 años de experiencia en la industria de Misión Crítica, Dax se une en 2020 a MTP como VP – Edge & Mission Critical Solutions. Él inició su carrera en infraestructura de Centros de Datos con Grupo UPS de Panamá (Emerson Network Power), luego se desempeñó en Kio Networks Panamá como Gerente Regional de Infraestructura para Centro América y el Caribe, posteriormente toma la responsabilidad de Operaciones de Infraestructura a nivel global ya radicado en México, y durante 6 años perteneció al cuerpo directivo de esta organización como responsable de la construcción y expansiones de los Data Centers de Kio, así como también de su correcta operación. Sumado a esto, llevó la vertical de preventa de la línea de negocios de Data Center Services en 5 países (México, Guatemala, Panamá, República Dominica, y España).

En lo que a su educación respecta, Dax es Ingeniero de Sistemas, con Maestría en Administración de Empresas, ambas de la Universidad Latina de Panamá; también cursó el Programa de Alta Dirección del IPADE. Ha fortalecido su educación con múltiples certificaciones técnicas reconocidas a nivel mundial en el ámbito de los Data Centers.

Gonzalo Cornejo joined Mexico Tower Partners as a CFO in September 2014. Before joining MTP, Gonzalo was a Senior VicePresident at Macquarie, the world’s largest infrastructure fund and one of MTP’s shareholders. Gonzalo began his career at Macquarie in New York, moving later to Mexico to help establish the office and the first fund in the region. Initially, Gonzalo was in charge of the acquisitions made by Macquarie’s fund in Mexico, leading several transactions , including the initial package of 200 telecommunications towers that later resulted in the creation of Mexico Tower Partners.

Gonzalo also held the position of Head of Asset Management of Macquarie’s fund in Mexico. In addition to this, Gonzalo had different roles in financial institutions in Buenos Aires, London and New York, where he worked in investment transactions throughout different industries.

Gonzalo has an MBA from Columbia Business School, as well as a degree in Business Economics and a Masters in Finance from Universidad Di Tella in Argentina.

Sergio Hori joined Mexico Tower Partners in February 2015 as Controller. He has more than 18 years of experience in the areas of Finance, Accounting, Project Control, Budgets and Internal Control.

He began his professional career at PWC in the area of ​​international taxes, providing consulting services to various expatriate managers of the most important transnational companies in Mexico. Later, he joined Corporative Dine (Group Desc) as Senior Accountant as the responsible of accounting, taxes and treasury for ten real estate companies that sell residential land on markets for people with high acquisition power. Sergio worked 10 years for the Spanish company Iberdrola serving as Finance Director, actively participating in the control and monitoring of electrical infrastructure projects under the scheme of Financed Public Works for the CFE. He worked for two years in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil as Financial Director of the subsidiary of Iberdrola in that country, controlling the financial and fiscal part of a nuclear project with a state client, Electronuclear. He has experience in companies dedicated to road infrastructure, as well as in the construction of telecommunications towers.

Sergio has a bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Universidad Anahuac, and a Diploma in Business Finance from the Banking and Commercial School.

Sergio Hori se unió a MTP en febrero de 2015 como Contralor. Cuenta con más de 18 años de experiencia en las áreas de Finanzas, Contabilidad, Control de Proyectos, Presupuestos y Control Interno.

Sergio inició su carrera profesional en PWC en el área de impuestos internacionales proporcionando servicios de consultoría a diversos directivos expatriados de las más importantes empresas transnacionales establecidas en México. Posteriormente se incorporó como Contador Senior de Corporativo Dine (Grupo Desc) encargándose de la contabilidad, impuestos y tesorería de diez empresas inmobiliarias que comercializaban terrenos residenciales enfocados a mercados de alto poder adquisitivo. Laboró diez años para la empresa española Iberdrola en donde se desempeñó como Director de Finanzas, participando activamente en el control y seguimiento de proyectos de infraestructura eléctrica bajo el esquema de Obra Pública Financiada para la CFE. Trabajó por dos años en Brazil, Rio de Janeiro como Director Financiero de la filial de Iberdrola en aquel país, controlando la parte financiera y fiscal de un proyecto nuclear con cliente estatal, Electronuclear. Tiene experiencia en empresas dedicadas a infraestructura carretera, así como en el giro de la construcción de torres de telecomunicaciones.

Sergio tiene una Licenciatura en Contaduría Pública de la Universidad Anáhuac y un Diplomado en Finanzas Empresariales de la Escuela Bancaria y Comercial.

Martha Coronel se unió a MTP como Gerente de Operaciones en septiembre del 2015. Actualmente desempeña el cargo de Directora de Desarrollo y O&M. Ella cuenta con 16 años de experiencia en el desarrollo de torres (Built to Suit), así como el mantenimiento de infraestructura móvil.

Antes de entrar a MTP, Martha desempeñó el cargo de Gerente de Proyectos de Sitios Celulares (BTS) en Vant Exgon, donde desarrolló diversas actividades como la adquisición de infraestructura, desarrollo del proyecto ejecutivo, obra civil y eléctrica, implementación de tecnología, mantenimiento, etc.

Martha coronel posee una licenciatura en Ingeniería Civil de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, México.

Patricia Bogarin se unió al equipo de MTP como Vicepresidente del área Legal en diciembre del 2013. Antes de MTP, Patricia prestó sus servicios a Global Towers Partners (GTP), donde representó una pieza fundamental en la implementación y desarrollo del Departamento Legal de Latinoamérica, a cargo de todos los asuntos legales relacionados a las actividades de telecomunicaciones de la empresa en México, Costa Rica y Panamá. En su rol como asistente del asesor corporativo de América Latina, asesoró y trabajó en estrecha colaboración con los departamentos de Fusiones y Adquisiciones, de Bienes Raíces, de Arrendamientos, de Operaciones y de Gestión de Activos.

Anteriormente, Patricia celebró una serie de roles líderes en el sector inmobiliario, y en la industria de seguros de títulos inmobiliarios y de préstamos hipotecarios. Obtuvo su título de abogada de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Lima) y después de ser admitida en el Colegio de Abogados de Lima, se dedicó por varios años a la práctica privada, concentrándose en temas de desarrollo inmobiliario y transacciones comerciales y de préstamo antes de trasladarse a los Estados Unidos.

Gonzalo Cornejo se unió a MTP como CFO en septiembre del 2014, contribuyendo al fuerte crecimiento que tuvo la compañía en los últimos años. Antes de unirse a MTP, Gonzalo era director en Macquarie, el fondo de infraestructura más grande del mundo y uno de los dueños de MTP. Gonzalo comenzó su carrera en Macquarie en Nueva York, trasladándose posteriormente a México para ayudar a establecer la oficina y el primer fondo en la región. Inicialmente, el Sr. Cornejo estuvo a cargo de las adquisiciones de Macquarie en México, liderando las primeras transacciones realizadas por el Fondo de Infraestructura Macquarie Mexico, incluido el paquete inicial de 200 torres de telecomunicaciones que luego derivó en la creación de Mexico Tower Partners. Posteriormente, ocupó el cargo de Head de Asset Management del fondo. Adicionalmente a esto, el Sr. Cornejo tuvo distintos roles en instituciones financieras en Buenos Aires, Londres y Nueva York, donde trabajó en transacciones de inversión en diferentes sectores.

Gonzalo posee un MBA de Columbia Business School y es Licenciado en Economía Empresarial y Máster en Finanzas por parte de la Universidad Di Tella de Argentina, y habla fluido español e inglés.

José Sola es CEO de MTP desde enero 2014. Previamente, fue Senior Vicepresidente de Desarrollo Corporativo – Latinoamérica para Global Tower Partners (GTP) donde lideró exitosamente la expansión e implantación de GTP en México y Costa Rica.

José Sola Inició su carrera en telecomunicaciones en 1994 al incorporarse a Telefónica, una de las compañías líderes en el sector en Europa y Latinoamérica, donde mantuvo distintas posiciones ejecutivas en las áreas de Relaciones con Inversores, Fusiones y Adquisiciones y Desarrollo Corporativo en las oficinas de Madrid y Miami.

Antes de su incorporación a Telefónica, José trabajó en la división internacional de Endesa, realizando due diligence financiero en adquisiciones en Portugal.

Es Licenciado en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales de la Universidad de Granada – España, y completó estudios de Administración de Empresas en la Universidad de Limerick – Irlanda.

Martha Coronel joined Mexico Tower Partners as Operations Manager in September 2015. She currently serves as Director of Development and O&M. Martha has 16 years of experience in the development of towers (Built to Suit), as well as the maintenance of mobile infrastructure.

Before joining MTP Martha served as Project Manager of Cellular Sites (BTS) at Vant Exgon, where she developed several activities such as infrastructure acquisition, development of the executive project, civil and electrical work, technology implementation, maintenance, etc.

Martha, holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, Mexico.

Patricia Bogarin joined Mexico Tower Partners team as Vice President of Legal in December 2013. Before Mexico Tower Partners, Patricia worked at Global Towers Partners (GTP), where she represented a fundamental piece in the implementation and development of the Latin America Legal Department. She was in charge of all legal matters related to the company’s telecommunications activities in Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama. In her role as assistant to the corporate advisor in Latin America, she advised and worked closely with the departments of Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate, Leases, Operations and Asset Management.

Previously, Patricia held a series of leading roles in the real estate sector, and in the real estate title and mortgage loan insurance industry. She obtained her law degree from the National University of San Marcos (Lima) and after being admitted to the Lima Bar Association, she devoted herself to private practice for several years, focusing on real estate development and commercial transactions and Loan before moving to the United States.

Jose Sola has been the CEO of Mexico Tower Partners since January 2014. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development in Latin America in Global Tower Partners (GTP), where he successfully led the expansion and implementation of GTP in Mexico and Costa Rica.

Jose Sola began his career in telecommunications in 1994 when he joined Telefónica, one of the leading companies in the sector in Europe and Latin America. He held different executive positions in the areas of Investor Relations, Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Development in the offices of Madrid and Miami.

Before joining Telefónica, Jose worked in the international division of Endesa, performing financial due diligence on acquisitions in Portugal.

He has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Granada – Spain and completed his studies in Business Administration from the University of Limerick – Ireland.
